Sweep or vacuum first; mop w/floor brush, corners and baseboards with round brush; do by sections using continuous motion, heavily soiled areas use rectangular brush, no cloth.

Quarry Tile, Slate, Ceramic Tile & Grout

Moderate

Floor brush + cloth, extension spout w/round brush, rectangular brush w/cloth

Sweep or vacuum first; mop w/floor brush, use round brush on grout lines and wipe away loosened dirt.

Sealed Hardwood

Light

Floor brush + cloth, extension tubes

Fix cloth to floor brush, engage steam release, reduce or turn steam off and mop floor, repeat as cloth cools. Cloth should be hot and moist, not wet.

Smooth Concrete

Moderate - Heavy

Floor brush + cloth,  rectangular brush

Sweep or vacuum first, mop w/ floor brush, flip cloth under brush to finish wipe, use round brush or rectangular brush for heavily soiled areas.

Wax Removal

Moderate - Heavy

Small rectangular brush, extension tubes

Treat by section w/rectangular brush, no cloth. Do twice. DO NOT OVERHEAT!

Vacuum and then PRE-STEAM w/rectangular brush or floor brush. Attach cloth to floor brush and wipe in two directions - the second at right angles to the first. Stubborn areas may be pre-treated with a light application of gentle detergent followed with steam treatment.

Painted, Paneling, Wallpaper

Painted walls, wallpaper, wood paneling are heat sensitive. Always use 2, preferably 3 layers of cloth on brushes when treating these surfaces. Do not dwell on any one area too long - treat one, let cool and retreat. On heavily soiled areas, pre-steam w/extension spout 6" from surface and then use brush w/cloth. Cloth surface may be pre-treated w/gentle detergent mist to help loosen soil. On wood paneling move quickly, check cloth surface for color transfer. WALL PAPER REMOVAL - use extension spout on seams, floor brush on large areas. Use rectangular brush w/cloth to remove residual paste.

Acoustical Tile

Light

Rectangular brush or floor brush with cloth, extension tubes

Test in inconspicuous location prior to treatment. Some velour's are very heat sensitive and may deform. Pre-steam area with steam gun at 6" from surface. Use rectangular brush w/cloth over surface, working in two directions. Cloth should be hot and moist, not wet. Use extension spout on seam lines at 2" from surface, wipe away dirt with cloth. 

Leathers

Light

Rectangular brush w/ thick cloth

Test in inconspicuous location prior to treatment.  Pre-steam area with steam gun at 6" from surface. Use rectangular brush w/cloth over surface, working in two directions. Cloth should be hot and moist, not wet. Use extension spout on seam lines at 2" from surface, wipe away dirt with cloth. Condition leathers after treating.

Light dust - open blind half way and use extension spout on Moderate - high from 4" away. Caution - too much heat may deform thin plastic blinds. Use with care. Heavy or greasy dust - shut blinds, mist w/mild steam, use extension spout at 4" from surface, and wipe immediately w/cloth. Vertical vinyl - small rectangular brush w/cloth on one side and large brush w/ cloth on opposite side - top to base, then switch sides.

Verticals

Light - Moderate

Make sure glass is NOT cold to avoid cracking. Pre-steam glass w/steam gun at 6" from surface or use rectangular brush. Brush w/cloth over entire surface the first cleaning. Follow up with window tool. Wipe squeegee blade often. Avoid cracked mirrors or windows. Use rectangular brush w/cloth on screens.
